Our wooden blind range uses quality basswood and natural wood species stained and painted in a range of finishes. Each blind is custom made to your window size, with cord-operated tilt and lift controls for adjusting light and privacy. The natural insulating properties of timber also help regulate room temperature.

Are your wooden blinds made from real timber?
Yes — our wooden blinds use genuine timber, not PVC, vinyl, or faux-wood alternatives. Real timber slats are lighter than PVC/faux-wood alternatives. Check each collection's product details for its material and available finishes.
Are wooden blinds suitable for bathrooms or kitchens?
We don't recommend real timber blinds for bathrooms or any room with persistent humidity, steam, or splashing water. Moisture can cause timber slats to warp or crack over time. For those spaces, aluminium venetian blinds are a much better choice — they're moisture-resistant, easy to wipe clean, and available in a wide range of finishes.
What slat widths are available for wooden blinds?
Our wooden blinds are available in 50 mm and 36 mm slat widths. The 50 mm slat gives a classic, bold look that suits larger windows; the 36 mm slat is a finer option that works well on smaller and standard-sized windows.
How do I clean wooden blinds?
Dust wooden blinds regularly using a soft dry cloth, a microfibre duster, or the brush attachment on a vacuum — tilt the slats flat to access each side. Avoid wet cleaning where possible; if a slat needs spot-cleaning, use a very slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Never submerge timber slats or use steam cleaners.
Can wooden blinds be painted or stained to a custom colour?
Our timber blinds are available in a range of factory stain and paint finishes to suit most interiors — from natural and bleached tones to darker walnut and heritage colours. Custom factory colours outside our standard range aren't available, but the variety of finishes in our collection covers the most popular interior palettes for NZ homes.
